Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers - Johannesburg
Basic Life Support (BLS) is a must-have course for any health care provider! This training course teaches the basic skills of cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR), administering CPR as a team and using the automated external defibrillator (AED) safely, correctly and efficiently. These basic principles of BLS can be applied to in-hospital or out-of-hospital emergency cardiac arrest scenarios. The skills of basic CPR, safe use of an AED, management of choking in an adult, child or infant are facilitated through video based practice-while-watching and the guidance of an experienced facilitator.
This American Heart Association training course is also a mandatory pre-entry requirement to training courses such as Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
