Family Violence, Child Protection & Missing Persons is designed specifically for members of any of the Police services, NGO's and private institutions that deal with or investigate cases of family violence, child protection or missing persons and providing support services to victims of such incidents.

General Investigation (Policing)

General Investigation (Policing) is designed specifically for members of any of the Police services that investigates general crimes or incidents. This elective also focuses on the investigation of cases related to Missing Persons and Inquests.

On completion, you will be able to conduct preliminary investigations, apply victim empowerment and witness support strategies, manage performance and investigate missing persons and inquest investigations, all in accordance with the Constitution of SA as well as other relevant legislation.

Forensic Investigative Auditing

Forensic Investigative Auditing is designed to provide an introductory overview on where to begin when approaching a Forensic Audit by covering topics related to the function of an auditor and establishing frameworks for internal controls and evaluation.

On completion, you will be able to conduct preliminary investigations, contribute, identify, and implement the responsibilities, functions and qualities of an auditor and establish and evaluate a framework for internal control, all in accordance with the Constitution of SA as well as other relevant legislation.

Forensic Biology & DNA

Forensic Biology & DNA refers to all aspects related to knowledge and understanding of biological examinations in a forensic science environment

Forensic Biology & DNA is intended to provide fundamental knowledge of the probative value of forensic biological evidence that is collected, packaged and stored, and ultimately admissible to a court of law as evidence towards serving justice and to provide fundamental theoretical principles in physiology and molecular biology that form the basis of the techniques used in forensic biology examinations.

Accident Scene Investigation

Accident Scene Investigation deals with being capable of applying the correct procedures when attending to, managing and investigating a road accident scene.

Accident Scene Investigation is aimed at people who attend to, manage and invesigate road accident scenes with a level of authority that allows them to take independent decisions and make accurate observations in order to relay these observations in a court of law barring the facts of the matter.
